About Us

Troop 295 started out in Anaheim at Cerritos Elementary School. In 1990 our troop moved to Cypress and became sponsored by American Legion Post 295. Shortly after that the troop changed its numbers from 627 to 295, to match the Post's number.

Regular Meetings:

Our troop meets on Monday nights at the Lincoln Center Mobile Home Park Community Center, which is located in Cypress at 9080 Bloomfield Ave., near the cross streets of Bloomfield Ave. and Lincoln Ave. The weekly Troop meetings start at 7:00PM and run till 8:30PM.

Community Service:

Our Troop has several annual community service functions. The Troop assists the Post with the Easter egg hunt and runs an activity booth on Halloween. Both are held at the Cypress Community Center. We place American flags on the Veterans headstones at Cypress Forest Lawn on Memorial and Veterans Days. We also assist the Post with a Veteran's Day Ceremony at Veteran Park in Cypress.

Court of Honor:

Court of Honor is held three times a year which takes place at one of the normal troop meetings. During Court of Honor, we award scouts with earned merit badges, rank advancements, and other awards. We require that the scouts wear full uniform which includes the sash and the Troop scarf. Refreshments are served and the parents are encouraged to attend.
